A Healing and Blessing Ceremony of the Noble Guru Medicine Buddha

The third annual Dzogchen Buddha Path 48-Hour Global Medicine Buddha Event will commence at 7:00 AM on Saturday, September 23, 2023 and conclude at 8:00 AM on Monday, September 25, 2023 (MEST). Registration is required.

Please join H.E. Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche and the International Dzogchen Buddha Path Sangha online for this auspicious autumn full moon celebration of the healing power of love and compassion. During this continuous 48-hour practice, we will offer to the Noble Guru Medicine Buddha in order to ease and heal the hearts and minds of the beings of this world and all universes. After three years many have been deeply effected by the pandemic and other worldly crisis, our diligent and urgent response is required. We will gather online to combine the healing power of our minds! We will pray, practice and make offerings to overcome widespread sickness and suffering and to create peace, health, and happiness in this world. Since this Medicine Buddha practice is an event only practiced annually, please auspiciously gather family and friends for this extraordinary opportunity!

Registration is required and sliding-scale admission fees include all members of the household. Funds raised during the event support the Dharma activities of the Holy Vajra Master and create tremendous merit for all who participate.

Even if you are unable to attend, you may participate by making donations or offerings.

This event will be broadcast online as a webinar, but you may be able to participate in your local Dharma center. You must register to have access and receive the link for participation. Once you have registered, you will receive an immediate response via email with the link to the event.

About the Lineage and our Root Teacher

It is extremely precious to study under an authentic master, one whose lineage can be traced all the way back to Buddha Shakyamuni. Our precious Vajra Master, H.E. Dzogchen Khenpo Choga Rinpoche, is a thirty-third generation lineage holder of the Dzogchen Longchen Nyingthig and the Dzogchen Khandro Nyingthig lineages, selected by previous Dzogchen Lineage Masters in Tibet because of his profound knowledge and realization. With more than seven years of solitary cave meditation experience in the high Tibetan holy mountains, Rinpoche truly embodies the qualities of a realized practitioner and yogi. Also a vibrant and dynamic teacher and scholar, Rinpoche is a lama of the Dzogchen Monastery and professor of the Dzogchen Shri Singha University. He is a published author of numerous books in both Tibetan and English, including The Buddha Path, a practice book that encompasses all of Buddha’s teachings. The Buddha Path is available in English, Chinese, Russian, and German, and is soon to be released in Nepali, Japanese, and Spanish.

Just as great master of the past, Atisha, was revered for always teaching refuge, Khenpo Choga Rinpoche is revered for always training teachers. His heartfelt effort to train knowledgeable, wise and compassionate teachers has reached a critical juncture, and he has authorized authentically trained and certified Dharma Teachers of The Buddha Path to teach under his guidance.

How to Select Offerings

Select an offering based on your preference. We offer what we like, enjoy, value, to Medicine Buddha for the health and happiness of all beings. No choice is wrong, it is just a matter of emphasis; this is to help us focus and create the cause for Buddha's blessings. Decide what is financially affordable, and go from there. Choose which direction most relates to what you want to manifest.

  • Flower represents true nature, inner beauty
  • Fruit represents sense enjoyments
  • Medicine represents healing blessings for yourself or others
  • Blessing cards allow you to express prayers and aspirations for yourself and others
  • Lamp offerings represent wisdom, our luminous nature and the light of Dharma
